The First Nations Home Energy Support Programme provides assistance to the community to help their clients have low energy usage, and to ensure their energy bills are as low as possible. The HES team not only provides assistance for this to happen, but they also help connect their clients with assistance where they have lost or they are at risk of loosing power supply. There are six areas where assistance is provided.

1. Energy Bills
Analysing energy bills is a proactive approach that can lead to reducing energy costs.

2. Draught-Proofing
Draft proofing can significantly reduce energy consumption by preventing heat loss through gaps and leaks.

3. Heating
Reducing heating leads to lower energy consumption. the key is to use less energy to maintain warmth.

4. Cooling
Keeping your house cool in summer can indeed save on energy bills through several mechanisms.

5. Appliances
House Energy Support check appliances and provide guidance on how o make these more efficient.

6. Lights & Water
Change to light bulbs, maximising lighting and hot water usage provides significant energy savings.
